Woman Churning Butter, 1934
Ásmundur Sveinsson created this sculpture which shows a woman making butter in Reykjavík. It is an ode to Icelandic farm women. Woman Churning Butter shows distinct characteristics of Sveinsson’s work and can be found in Ásmundarsafn’s garden and in Árbæjarsafn Open Air Museum.
