Shadow
The shadow of Ásmundur Sveinsson's sculpture Giantess (1948) turned into cast iron. The giantess becomes a shadow on a table, a plate under hot vessels. Ásmundur said that trolls reminded him of mountains and that the mountains were trolls. The interplay of man and nature in Ásmundur's work takes on countless images and is a source of endless ideas and emotions.
