The Blacksmith, 1936
This sculpture was made in 1936 by Ásmundur Sveinsson in Copenhagen. It depicts a blacksmith who leans against his anvil. In 1955, Sveinsson enlarged The Blacksmith in concrete and it now stands by the street Snorrabraut in Reykjavík. The work shows the strength of the working class.
